Today, let's learn
some English vocabulary for Eiken grade 5.
At English Plus, we
offer lessons for both kids and adults.
Currently, we offer
weekly English lessons for "junior high school students" and phonics and basic English lessons for "1st-6th grade elementary school students".
Our lesson for
elementary school students are not only focusing on Eiken exam but also acquiring basic English skills.
In this blog, I would
like to introduce some of the common English words that appear in Eiken grade 5, which are also studied in our English Plus lessons for elementary school students.
There are 10 English words that appear frequently in Eiken grade 5! 10 English words around us.
1.
book（本）
→ I read a book every
day.（私は毎日本を読みます）
2.
door（ドア）
→ Please open the
door.（ドアを開けてください）
3.
window（窓）
→ Look at the
window.（窓を見てください）
4.
clock（時計）
→ The clock is on the
wall.（時計は壁にあります）
5.
computer（コンピューター）
→ I use a computer at
school.（私は学校でコンピュータを使います）
All of these words
are frequent vocabulary for Eiken grade 5.
When memorizing them,
do not just memorize the meanings of the words, but practice reading them aloud with example sentences to help your memory retain them.
The key to
remembering these words is not just to “memorize the meaning,” but to actually read the example sentences aloud to learn how to use them.
In English Plus
lessons, these vocabulary words are firmly established through the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Study Advice for
Eiken grade 5:
✅ Make time to come
into contact with English, even if it is only for 5-10 minutes every day
✅ Memorize words by
“meaning + pronunciation + example sentences”
✅ Try to find things
in your home that you can say in English (“What is this in English?” - the habit of thinking “How do you say this in English?”)
✅ Try to challenge
past Eiken questions and listening questions
