some English expressions from recent news topics of new Coronavirus.
Since the spring of
2020, we've heard and seen a lot of news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on TV, the radio, and websites.
Currently vaccine is
available; however, there are some variants including Omicron variant and quite a few new cases are reported every day around the world.
This is really bad
news for people all over the world, and I hope the spread of Coronavirus infections will settle down very soon and things will get back to normal as soon as possible.
Under this
circumstance, some of us might need to send or might have a chance to send messages in English.
Today, let's learn
some English expressions about the current COVID-19 situation in Japan.
・The number of
COVID-19 patients in Japan yesterday was over 70,000, which is the highest number so far. （昨日、日本全国でコロナ感染者数が過去最多の７万人超でした）
・Japan's daily count
of new COVID cases hit yet another record of over seventy thousand yesterday.（昨日、日本全国でコロナ新規感染者数は過去最多となる７万人超でした）
